Is it easy to buy online from RatSport

Making a purchase online couldn't be easier. Simply browse our store and add any items that you wish to purchase into the shopping cart. When you have finished selecting your items, then click the checkout icon. You will then be asked for a few details that we need to complete your order.

 
What types of payment do you accept?

  • We take all common debit & credit cards (including Discovery (DGN) and Diners card but not American Express)
  • We take Paypal for UK orders only, up to a maximum of £100
  • We do take cheques, if you wish to pay by cheque please complete the shopping cart in the normal way, then print and mail a copy of your order complete wth cheque made payable to RatSport. We can only accept cheques in pound sterling drawn from a UK bank. Please do not send cash.
  • We will take a bank transfer but only with a minimum amount of £1000, if you wish to pay by bank transfer please email us.
  • Unfortunately we do not take Webmoney, Western Union, Cash on Delivery or IOUs.

 
Do your prices include VAT?

Yes all prices are quoted on this site with and without VAT (sales tax). VAT is charged for deliveries within the UK. If delivery is outside the UK then no VAT sales tax is charged.

 
What is the price in US dollars. Can I pay in dollars, or any other currency?

As we are a UK based business then all transactions are conducted in pounds sterling. We are unable to know what the price is in dollars (or another currency) as the currency exchange rate varies slightly hourly and is as set by your payment card issuer and thus beyond our control. If you use the Currency Picker tool on the website this gives a very good indication of exchange rates as it is updated twice daily. When you make a purchase from us your payment card issuer will credit us in pounds and will debit your card in dollars (or your local currency), at the prevailing currency exchange rate that they have set at the time of your purchase.

 
Is it safe to send my payment card details over the web?

Yes, all payment card details are 128-bit encrypted using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to ensure the transaction is completely safe. We do not store, or even see, card details. Card payments are processed by Barclays Merchant Services.

 
Can I visit your shop?

Unfortunately we don't have a physical shop here, only a warehouse. We operate by fast mail order.

 
Are your prices competitive?

We strive to be highly competitive against other online stores, but if you've seen an identical, or nearly identical, product listed elsewhere then please get in touch via our Price Match Challenge. Be sure to compare the total cost including the shipping.

 
Any discounts for trade or for quantity?

  • Sorry we don't discount any products for traders who wish to buy an individual item. However we do supply discounts for bulk purchases - see here 
  • We also sometimes have sales (check back regularly), and occasionally mail out discount codes (sign-up to the news letter).
  • We usually have a few items on promotion which are exceptional bargains. Also, from time to time we'll issue discount voucher codes to our Twitter followers and email subscribers

 
Ive picked the wrong item/changed my mind? Can I change/cancel my order before delivery?

Yes, but please email us as soon as possible as orders are often often sent out the same day.

 
You nearly have the product I want. Can you modify/change it to be exactly what I need?

  • No sorry, on an individual basis we can only supply products exactly as they are detailed and photographed in the product description.
  • However if you are a re-seller and want to place a multiple order (at least 10) as we are the manufacturer many of the products displayed if you send us an email we would be very pleased to look into your request.

 
You don't have the product I want. Can you manufacture or source it?

When will my order be delivered?

Timescale: Your order will normally be processed the day of or the day following receipt (excluding weekends and bank holidays). For most deliveries we offer a choice of 3 services: economy (cheapest and slowest), regular (intermediate cost and timescale) or courier (dearest and fastest). When you have finished shopping and wish to check-out then you will be presented with the delivery cost and timescales for deliveries for you to make a choice before paying. Please note that heavy or bulky items can usually only be delivered by courier.

Faster Deliveries: The fastest delivery service is by courier. Our courier claims 96% of parcels are delivered within 2 days. (We hope, but cannot guarantee, that you will not be one of the 4% of our customers who receive a late delivery). Working days excludes bank holidays and weekends.  

Receipt: Valuable packages or those larger than a standard letterbox aperture will often require a signature on delivery to demonstrate that the goods have been received undamaged and on time. Therefore please ensure that there is someone available to receive the goods or alternatively have them delivered to a different address where there is someone available (eg work). If no-one is available to sign for receipt the delivery agent should call again the following day, and if still undelivered should leave a calling card for you to arrange an alternative delivery time or address, or you can collect from the local depot.

 
How do I know how much the delivery cost will be?

The delivery cost is calculated on the weight of the items you are buying, the delivery speed required, and the address and country you want them delivered to.
A delivery cost is then automatically calculated after you have chosen your purchases and then filled in your address.
Once your total bill (including shipping cost) is presented for you to check, you will then be forwarded to the final page to fill in your payment details if you wish to place an order.
Then your order will be processed by us here and despatched.

Are all of your products in stock?

The vast majority of our products are in stock. Where stocks are running low the number of items remaining for immediate despatch is quoted.Some products are manufactured to order, where this is the case then days before shipping are stated.

 
Can I have the parts shipped direct to my garage? Can I have the parts shipped as a gift?

You can send someone your package by entering their name and address as the Delivery Address and your own as the Billing Address - we require to know the billing address due to card processing rules. Unfortunately we dont offer a gift wrapping service.

 
Do you deliver worldwide?

There are very few countries (usually war-torn) that we do not deliver to.

 
Ive taken delivery but ordered the wrong item/changed my mind. Can I return it?

How long should it take for a refund?

We strive to process all refunds within 5 working days, however the funds may not appear in your bank account or on your statement for a further 3 - 5 working days. During holiday periods, such as Christmas, we are more likely to fail to meet our 5 day target.
