|Sealed beam units are getting increasingly thin on the ground, however we still have a few left both in standard and high output.
Many owners find them insufficiently bright for todays motoring conditions and wish to upgrade. A common solution is to convert to halogen units, these are a direct straight swap as the replaceable halogen bulb has the same electrical pin layout as a sealed beam (3 pin on H4 and single pin on H1) so no wiring connections modification is required. Conversion to halogens has the advantage that 1) when a bulb goes it is easily and cheaply replaced (unlike sealed beams the whole unit does not require replacement) and 2) affords a brighter output which is an obvious benefit to classic owners who use their vehicle of a nighttime. The disadvantage for concours buffs is that when examined closely the difference between an original sealed beam and a halogen replacement can be noticed.
Alternatively we can supply 7" LED lamp units as a direct swap for those owners with 7" sealed beams. These are as bright or brighter than any other factory-fit lamps on even the most modern vehicles. LED units for 53/4" are in the pipeline.
All lamp units are supplied individually unless stated otherwise
